The Health o meter/pelouze part number is 53095-0000. As of 8-25-98 we had 100 in stock. Call out customer service department at 1-800-654-8330 for pricing and delivery information. RS-232 Cable DB-9 female to DB-9 male with hardware flow control. Pins 4, 6, and 8 are connected together to prevent a DTR timeout. The cable has a shield which is connected to each connector's shell. PC Scale DB-25 F DB-9 M 3 ---------------- 3 7 ---------------- 5 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 500 x 0.5 lb. is the best resolution the 4040 scale can deliver in a 1 sec update. 150 x 0.1 lb. is the best resolution the 4010 scale can deliver in a 1 sec update. The scale will interpret the slow addition of weight as drift and will not show any change in the output. If you let the scale warm up for 2 minutes and increase/decrease the weight by 1 lb. or more per sec., the scale should correctly track the changing of weight. If this is not satisfactory, you can remove the head from the base and supply your own +5 volts and ground to the RJ11 and read back the frequency output. It should change between about 0 and 20kHz for a change of weight of 0 to 400 lb. Because RJ11 connectors are not numbered you will have to measure the signals to determine +5 volts, ground, frequency from base, and RS-232 to base. You should be able to increase the resolution by increasing the sample time of your frequency to digital count software. The best way to compensate for thermal drift is to allow the scale to warm up for 30 minutes before using it.
